چکیده مقاله:

In the present investigation, Mg–Al layered double hydroxides (LDHs) were synthesized via a co-precipitation technique followed by hydrothermal treatment to facilitate the efficient removal of the glyphosate herbicide from aqueous solutions. The structural and morphological properties of the synthesized LDHs were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), which confirmed the development of a well-ordered layered architecture exhibiting a hexagonal plate-like morphology. The adsorption performance of the LDHs toward glyphosate was evaluated at varying temperatures (۲۵, ۴۵, and ۶۵ °C) under a constant pH of ۶.۰. The results demonstrated an increase in adsorption capacity with rising temperature, suggesting that the adsorption process is endothermic. At ۲۵ °C, the LDHs achieved a glyphosate removal efficiency of ۸۵% within ۲۰۰ minutes. These findings underscore the LDHs’ superior anion-exchange properties, high specific surface area, and structural stability, indicating their potential as effective materials for environmental remediation and wastewater treatment applications.
