Planning for climatic tourism in city of Mashhad

Humans always look for adequate climatic conditions in order to improve their lives. Because humans are dependent on weather conditions, changes in climatic elements (Temperature, average humidity, etc…) can cause problems in their bioclimatic comfort. Identifying areas with human comfort is one of the most important goals of climatologists and environmental planners. Therefore in this study we tried to assess human bioclimatic conditions using thermo hydrometric index and synoptic data from Mashhad station for period of 20 years (1990-2010).The obtained results indicated that overall comfort period in city of Mashhad starts from September 1st until October 1st. Therefore authorities can use these months in order to plan for tourism activities.
