چکیده مقاله:

Due to the expanding interest in geopolymer concrete made in slag as a substitute to the Portland cement systems, these developments have augmented the commercial viability of slags. The following research into slag-based geopolymer concrete compressive and splitting tensile strengths examines the effect of steel fiber content. The mechanical activity was evaluated after ۷ and ۲۸ days. The findings show that the use of steel fiber leads to a significant improvement in both strength properties and the greatest increases were witnessed at the ۱% fiber addition. In particular, the compressive strength and tensile strength grew up to ۱۱.۱۵ percent and ۲۳.۵۰ percent, respectively, relative to fiber-free samples. In addition, the fiber-reinforced mixes were found to have better crack control and ductility whereas the brittle fracture behavior was observed in mixes that were not reinforced with fibers. These results reveal the utility of the steel fiber in enhancing the mechanical properties of geopolymer concrete made of slags and their prospective use in the formulation of high-performance and environment-friendly construction materials.
