چکیده مقاله:
This paper addresses the growing importance of seamlessly integrating biometric payment technologies within urban environments, a trend driven by the expansion of smart cities. The primary objective of this research is to explore the intersection of body-centered architecture, urban design, and biometric payment systems, with a specific focus on their aesthetic and humanistic integration. This study utilizes a descriptive-analytical and conceptual review methodology. Given its nature as a comprehensive literature review, the research does not involve a traditional statistical population or sampling method. Instead, it synthesizes a wide body of existing knowledge. Data were collected through a systematic review of peer-reviewed academic literature from diverse fields, including somaesthetics, neuroscience, human-centered design, and urban technology. Data analysis was performed through a qualitative thematic synthesis of the collected literature, enhanced by speculative urbanism and design fiction frameworks to conceptualize future possibilities. The findings conclude that aesthetics is not merely decorative but a functional necessity for the usability and acceptance of integrated technologies. It confirms that biometric systems transform the body into a transactional interface, which raises significant ethical challenges related to privacy, data misuse, and inherent design biases that may perpetuate social inequalities. The paper strongly supports the hypothesis that a human-centered approach, grounded in embodied experience and governed by robust ethical frameworks, is essential for the responsible and successful evolution of biometric urban spaces
