چکیده مقاله:

Background and aims: In medical education, particularly in the training of surgical technologist students, AI can serve as a powerful tool for improving educational processes and enhancing student performance. This narrative review explores the role and impact of AI in the education and performance improvement of surgical technologist students. Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted in reputable databases including PubMed, Scopus, Cochrane Library, Web of Science up to March ۱۶, ۲۰۲۵. Keywords such as 'Artificial Intelligence,' 'Virtual Reality,' 'Surgical Education,' 'Students,' 'Surgical Technologist,' and 'Performance Improvement' were used without time restrictions. Studies published in English and Persian were included. Results: A total of ۳۷ studies were reviewed, with ۶ studies meeting the inclusion criteria. Findings indicate that AI enhances personalized learning experiences, facilitates online courses and virtual interactions, and enables high-precision surgical simulations without risks to patients. Conclusion: Integrating AI into the education of surgical technologist students not only improves their performance but also helps bridge educational gaps globally. Moving toward the standardization of AI-driven surgical training and enhancing access to AI-based technologies can strengthen its long-term impact on student education and performance.
