MV-Algebra for Laboratory Diagnostics in Medicine

Dramatic advances in medicine have led to the development of a wide range of medical devices designed to accurately diagnose diseases, treat them, and improve the quality of life of patients. This study used MV-algebras to define laboratory parameters based on disease entities, and for each group of disease entities, we corresponded to a parameter. Since the list of diseases is not exactly the same as the parameters and mathematical equations, we used the mathematical symbol ≈ for approximation in the equations. A system of equations in MV-algebras allowed the assignment of each laboratory parameter to a set of disease entities. Adding equations with parameters in MV-algebra resulted in the assignment of a disease entity to the laboratory parameters. Equations in MV-algebras may have the potential to become part of diagnostics in medicine.
