چکیده مقاله:
Pressure injuries remain a significant complication among critically ill patients in intensive care units (ICUs), leading to increased morbidity, prolonged hospitalization, and higher healthcare costs. Preventing pressure ulcers in this population requires advanced and innovative nursing interventions alongside standard care protocols. This review aims to summarize and analyze recent evidence (۲۰۱۸-۲۰۲۵) regarding innovative nursing interventions for the prevention of pressure injuries in ICU patients. Recent evidence highlights the effectiveness of technologies such as continuous pressure mapping systems for early detection of high-risk areas and timely repositioning. Use of advanced multilayer silicone dressings, prophylactic foam dressings, and dynamic air mattresses has demonstrated significant reduction in the incidence of pressure ulcers among ICU patients. Multidisciplinary team approaches, including nurse-led education, early mobilization protocols, and individualized risk assessment using validated tools (e.g., Braden Scale with electronic alerts), further enhance preventive outcomes. Barriers to implementation, such as limited resources, staff workload, and variation in training, are noted but can be mitigated through targeted education and administrative support. Innovative and evidence-based nursing interventions play a crucial role in the prevention of pressure injuries among critically ill ICU patients. Integrating technology-assisted monitoring, advanced dressing materials, and interdisciplinary collaboration within routine nursing practice can significantly improve patient outcomes. Ongoing training and institutional commitment are essential for sustaining effective prevention strategies.
