چکیده مقاله:

The present study aimed to examine the effectiveness of Compassion -Focused Therapy (CFT) on cognitive distortions, emotional processing, and self -criticism among female physicians working in the primary healthcare network of Isfahan, Iran. This research employed a quasi -experimental design with pretest -posttest and a control group. The statistical population included female physicians working in health centers in Isfahan, from which ۳۰ individuals were selected through convenience sampling and randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. The experimental group participated in eight ۹۰ -minute CFT sessions. Research instruments included the Cognitive Distortions Questionnaire (Abdollahzadeh & Salar, ۲۰۱۰), the Emotional Processing Scale (Baker, ۲۰۱۰), and the Self -Criticism Scale (Thompson & Zuroff, ۲۰۰۴). Data were analyzed using ANCOVA. The results indicated that CFT significantly reduced cognitive distortions and improved emotional processing and most of their components in the experimental group compared to the control group (p < ۰.۰۵). Additionally, the Mann –Whitney U test was used to analyze self -criticism data, revealing a significant positive effect of CFT on this variable (U = ۴۸, p = ۰.۰۰۷). These findings highlight the importance of incorporating CFT in psychological interventions for healthcare professionals, as it may contribute to enhancing their mental well -being.
