Background- In recent years, the sustainability of projects has gained significant importance. However, achieving sustainability in projects is fraught with various challenges. Concurrently, artificial intelligence (AI) has experienced remarkable growth and has entered diverse fields, addressing many challenges. Project management is no exception, as AI has the potential to solve numerous issues in this domain. Purpose-This article aims to identify the existing challenges in project sustainability and prioritize AI solutions in project management to address these challenges. Method- In this study, the challenges of achieving project sustainability and artificial intelligence solutions in project management were identified through the literature review. Initially, the Best-Worst Method (BWM) was used to determine the weights of the sustainability challenges based on expert opinions. Then, the TOPSIS method was used to evaluate AI solutions for overcoming these challenges. Pairwise comparisons were done based on expert insights and the Likert scale. Finally, AI solutions were prioritized to address the sustainability challenges of the project. Findings- The findings of this research include the identification of ۱۵ sustainability challenges in projects and ۱۲ AI solutions for project management. Based on the evaluation, the most significant AI solutions for overcoming project sustainability challenges include project time forecasting, risk prediction, and data quality enhancement.
