The Constructive Role of the Basij Organization as a Global Model in Preventing Terrorism

This paper examines the constructive role of the Basij of the Oppressed as a global model for preventing terrorism. The Basij, as a social and military organization within the Islamic Republic of Iran, has effectively integrated popular and military capacities to take the lead in national security and combatting terrorist threats. By emphasizing social education and awareness, fostering solidarity among various social groups, and developing independent preventive programs, the organization has successfully managed instability and security crises. This paper explores the successful experiences of the Basij both domestically and internationally, presenting efficient models for other countries. Ultimately, it demonstrates that the Basij model can be considered as a global framework, providing strategies for enhancing its role in combatting terrorism that can be shared with other nations. This research aims to clarify the functions of the Basij and emphasize its importance in ensuring global security.
