Urban Resilience Building: Innovative Approaches in Global City Crisis Management

Urban resilience, as one of the most important modern approaches in crisis management of global cities, plays a significant role in reducing vulnerability and enhancing the recovery capacity of cities when facing natural and human-made hazards. The aim of this research is to examine and analyze innovative strategies for improving urban resilience in crisis management, with an emphasis on the experiences of leading cities at the international level. The research method is descriptive-analytical, utilizing document studies, secondary data analysis, and review of successful global case studies. The findings indicate that the use of smart technologies, active participation of the local community, integration of risk management, and land-use planning are among the key factors in increasing urban resilience. Furthermore, the results suggest that combining urban planning with preventive policies and the development of flexible infrastructures can lead to a reduction in damages caused by crises and accelerate the process of returning the city to normal conditions. Ultimately, this paper emphasizes the necessity of adopting innovative and adaptive approaches in urban crisis management and recommends that city managers leverage international experiences and new technologies to enhance urban resilience.
