This review article examines the relationship between architecture, urban design, and mental health, with a specific focus on anxiety and depression. Drawing from interdisciplinary research, it explores how the built environment influences brain function and emotional well-being, potentially contributing to the development or alleviation of mental health disorders. The study delves into key concepts such as neuroarchitecture, the impact of natural and built elements on psychological states, and the role of landscape architecture in promoting mental health. Additionally, it highlights how urban resilience and green infrastructure contribute to stress reduction and emotional stability. The article also addresses current challenges in designing supportive environments and presents opportunities for future research and practice. By synthesizing findings from neuroscience, psychology, and urban studies, this review provides actionable insights for architects, urban planners, and mental health professionals. The goal is to promote evidence-based design strategies that foster healthier and more inclusive built environments for diverse communities.
