Investigating the Role of Quran Stories in the Continuation of the Islamic Call of the Prophet (PBUH): (Familiarity with the thematic interpretation of Surah Sād based on Al-Mizan's Interpretation)

Qur'anic stories are a prominent sign of the historical vision of the Qur'an, as well as one of the most effective and efficient educational methods in explaining the Islamic invitation (Da’wah) of the prophets. "Thematic interpretation of the Qur'anic surahs" is one of the three types of thematic interpretation of the Qur'an centered on the surahs. Allameh Tabatabai has played a leading role in this type of commentary and has implemented four principles and foundations in this regard: ۱) the purpose of the surah, ۲) the structure of the surah, ۳) the proportion of the verses of the surah, and ۴) the continuity of the surah. The aim of this article is to investigate "explaining the role of the stories of the Qur'an in the continuation of the Islamic Da'wah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH)" from the perspective of Allameh Tabatabai (with emphasis on Surah Sād). The results of the present research about the purposefulness of surah Sād are based on the interpretation of Al-Mizan about the Messenger of God (PBUH). After referring to the slander of the infidels, God commanded His beloved Prophet to be patient and to comfort and strengthen the heart of the Prophet (PBUH). He pointed to parts of the lives of nine prophets, especially to the history of the servants of the "Avvab" Davoud, Suleiman, and Ayyub (PBUH) and recounted their steadfastness, so that the first believers who were under pressure at that time could learn patience and steadfastness. At the end of the surah, he orders that nobleman to fulfill his mission of warning and inviting people to monotheism. Surah Sād is divided into six sections in Tafsir Al-Mizan, and in addition, the proportion of the verses within the section, as well as the proportion between the sections throughout the surah, are reported. Qur'anic stories in today's world (according to the historical nature of Surah Sād) can perpetuate the Islamic Da'wah in four ways: emphasizing the role of warning, the strategy of patience and persistence, not asking for the reward of the mission, as well as mentioning the prophets during the hardships of the Islamic Da'wah.
