Investigating the effect of complementary medicine on the symptoms of sickle cell anemia; A systematic review

Sickle cell anemia (SCA) is a genetic blood disorder characterized by the abnormal shape of red blood cells. This condition can result in a range of symptoms, including pain, fatigue, and recurrent infections. In recent years, there has been growing interest in complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) as an adjunctive approach to managing the symptoms of this disease. This systematic review aims to evaluate the impact of various complementary therapies on the symptoms of sickle cell anemia, seeking to compile and analyze the existing evidence.
