Assessment of eating behavior revealed that participants reportedhighest levels of restrained eating (۲.۶ ±۰.۴۵) and lowest levels of emotional eating (۲.۵ ±۰.۴۲). Astatistically significant relationship was observed between personality traits (Combined with BMI) andexternal /restrained eating (P<۰.۰۵).Conclusions: Personality from perspective of Big Five traits and eating behavior were partially related withdietary habits, however, the associations were not consistent as to enable defining more healthy personalityprofile. In contrast, it seems that demographic characteristics such as age and BMI are among theinfluencing factors on the relationship between personality and eating behaviors.
