Rupture Status of the Southeastern Fault Segment of the June ۲۰, ۱۹۹۰ (Mw ۷.۴) Rudbar Earthquake

We examine the distribution of landslides, strong motion data, and intensity patterns from the June ۲۰, ۱۹۹۰ (Mw ۷.۴) earthquake to infer its rupture characteristics. A key focus is determining the status of the southeastern segment of the coseismic rupture. Our findings suggest that the segment experienced only partial rupture, indicating that a future major earthquake along this segment remains a plausible scenario.
