Our Sun emits a continuous stream of charged particles radially outward into our solar system, known as the solar wind. Much like flowing water in a river is deflected around rocks and other objects in the river, the solar wind is also deflected around most obstacles in our solar system, including the planets. The physical forces that control this deflection differ depending upon the characteristics of the planet and the solar wind as it encounters the obstacle. It has been recognized that the solar wind dynamic pressure enhancements have significant impacts on the Martian system, 𝑃𝑑𝑦. However, due to the limited quantity of upstream plasma observation availability, their characteristics have not been systematically explored as of yet. The combined numerical and solar wind dynamic pressure measurements from MAVEN and EUHFORIA will afford a unique opportunity to fill this knowledge gap. In the given work, we analyze the distribution of solar wind dynamic pressure and the relation of enhancements in 𝑃𝑑𝑦 with various solar wind structures based on the data provided by MAVEN SWIA on June ۲۲-۲۳, ۲۰۱۵. The solar wind pressure measured by SWIA was in good agreement with the numerical simulations provided by the EUHFORIA model.
