Statistical study of earthquake magnitudes in Turkey during ۲۰۲۲

Turkey ranks among the most seismically active countries in the world, with a long history of destructive earthquakes. The country is traversed by numerous active fault lines, which contribute to frequent and at times catastrophic seismic events. In ۲۰۲۲, Turkey recorded a total of ۲۰,۲۲۷ earthquakes, six of which had magnitudes of ۵.۰ or higher. The most notable event was a ۶.۱ magnitude earthquake that struck Düzce on November ۲۳, ۲۰۲۲, causing significant damage.
