چکیده مقاله:

This study assesses seismic active pressure during Kahramanmaraş earthquake, Turkiye on Feb. ۶th۲۰۲۳, with MW = ۷.۷, using a time domain pseudo-dynamic method. This method is capable ofincorporating the recorded ground motion during an earthquake into calculations. It also uses a methodbased on momentum theory to accurately determine the critical failure surface. Seismic accelerationsrecorded at two selected stations with distances of ۱۴ and ۱۴۲ km from the earthquake epicenter withpeak ground acceleration of ۰.۵۷g and ۱.۳۴g, respectively, are used to analysis seismic active pressureacting on a retaining wall. The results indicate that the proposed method provides realistic responses,whereas existing methods provide unrealistic responses in the case of a large earthquake. Also, inaddition to the peak ground acceleration of the earthquake, which affects the active seismic pressure,the frequency content of the earthquake acceleration is also an influencing factor
