چکیده مقاله:
Iran is a country located between two main global plates, Eurasian and Arabian plates. Then,several earthquakes with different magnitudes are occurring in different parts of it. In this study, forthe earthquakes occurred in eastern part of Iran, after collecting the macroseiemic data points (MDPs)of the earthquakes with magnitude more than ۶ and with the description reports, their macroseismicparamters were estimated using this dataset. The results show that the parameters estimated by MDPsfor the same earthquakes reported in the earthquake catalog are in different vlues, especially on pastearthquakes. Then, at least the estimated parameters of past earthquakes needs to be improved. Asusing MDPs can help to improve these parameters, for all cases, without/ with less MDPs,paleosesimic invesigations is suggested. Moreover, reporting more details in the documents which arepublished after each new event suggested for whom visit the region and prepare any reports.
