چکیده مقاله:

The issue of "food" is one of the essential challenges of this century; according to Malthus's theory, the excessive growth of the population is inconsistent with the growth rate of agricultural production, and this extreme growth, along with the limitation of production resources, creates a vague future for people's food supply. To face this vital need, each of the governments adopts specific solutions and policies to ensure food security and, ultimately, the national prestige of their country. Food policy should serve humanity by advancing human goals and eradicating extreme poverty and hunger. However, emerging forces have recently challenged these goals, including climate change, water scarcity, and the energy crisis. This article analyzes the overall role of these forces and population growth in defining food security. Investment is needed today to strengthen food security for the future. This requires action on several fronts, including tackling climate change, conserving land and water, reducing energy footprints in food systems, renovating irrigation infrastructure, strengthening domestic food sources, developing and adopting climate-resistant varieties, reforming international food trade, etc.
