چکیده مقاله:
The use of recycled asphalt materials in the construction of concrete pavements is important in terms ofpreserving the environment and building a sustainable pavement. However, it is necessary to investigatethe effect of these materials on the change of pavement behaviour. Paste cracking is one of the mostcommon types of failure in concrete pavements and needs a deeper study. The present researchexamines. The average width, length and area of cracking caused by paste shrinkage in control concretemixtures containing ۲۵, ۵۰, ۷۵ and ۱۰۰% recycled materials were evaluated using ASTM C۱۵۷۹standard method. The results indicated that by replacing recycled asphalt crumb materials, the severityof cracking increased significantly. The average width, length and area of cracking increased up to ۴۳,۳۳ and ۹۹%, respectively. It was observed that the replacement amount of recycled asphalt crumbmaterial has a significant effect on the change of paste cracking behaviour. Also, the results showed thatthe recycled asphalt crumb material caused a greater change in the average cracking width than itslength.
