Synthesis, identification and characterization of micro composite of NiTiO۳ micro rods andsilver plasmonic nanoparticles to increase the efficiency of photocatalytic decompositionof methylene blue for effective wastewater treatment

چکیده مقاله:

One of the most common-colored pollutants in nature is methylene blue, which, due to its widespreaduse, has destructive effects on organisms and the environment. Among the metal oxides are titanate perovskiteswith the general formula MTiO۳ (M = Ni, Co, ...). Nickel titanate is one of the perovskites that has high stabilitythat have a band gap of ۲.۱ to ۲.۹ electron volts. But this compound also has weak points, which has been triedin this research by using the composite of this compound with nano Plasmonic particles, which have LSPR effect,such as: gold, silver, copper, etc. (in this research, silver nanoparticles were used.) to improve the properties ofthis photocatalyst. Finally, a photocatalytic test was performed to degrade the methylene blue pollutant, andduring ۱۸۰ minutes of visible light irradiation, we had ۶۴.۷۲% and ۹۰.۱۶% for NiTiO۳ micro-rods and NiTiO۳/Agmicro-composite, respectively, in the presence of ۷۵ μl of H۲O۲, ۳۳-۳۵%.
