Synthesis of N-alkanoyl valsartan derivatives using desvaleryl valsartan

A novel efficient process was developed for synthesis of N-alkanoyl valsartan derivatives with goodoverall yield. An amide hydrolysis process under acidic conditions for the synthesis of valsartan intermediates,which have a tetrazole ring and acidic and amine functional groups in their structure, has been described tosynthesize Desvaleryl Valsartan as intermediate. The ۱HNMR spectroscopy was used for confirmation ofdesired structures.
