چکیده مقاله:

Centrifuge pumps are one of the practical components in the industry for fluid transformation. The thickness of the centrifuge pump diffuser blade is one of the important parameters for pump design. Designing diffuser blades in this type of pump has a great effect on pump performance. In this research fluid flow inside a diffuser blade has been modeled through FLUENT software with geometric modeling and numerical simulation. Through the ۳D simulation of the flow and solving the computational fluid dynamics, it has been attempted to investigate fluid flow behavior over centrifuge pump diffuser blades from the center. To model the irregular flow, the (K-Ԑ) Realizable proper for rotating flows and solving equations near the wall is used. Speed distribution has been drawn on the vertical plate of the propeller. Finally, the effect of increasing the propeller thickness for ۵ samples with ۹, ۷,۵,۳, and ۱۱ mm while having identical diffuser propeller height and propeller height to width ratios of ۰.۳۳,۰.۲,۰.۱۴,۰.۱۱ and ۰.۰۹, respectively, on pump performance, volumetric flow, static speed and pressure passing from diffuser propeller generated in centrifuge pump is investigated. The results illustrated that with a reduction of propeller height-to-width ratio, static speed, and pressure are increased in the pump head, and yield reduces with reducing the volumetric flow of the pump.
