چکیده مقاله:
Steam vent silencer is one of the important components of the boiler, its task is to reduce the speed and noise of the steam venting the boiler's safety valve. The pressure of the steam venting the safety valves of the boiler is so high that it can deafen any person near it, and by using a silencer, it can be ensured that even in the worst conditions the noise and shockwave of steam venting is tolerable by humans. In this regard, methods such as trial and error are usually used to design the silencer. The main issue of this method is the need for excessive time for design. Also errors may arise in calculating the minimum dimensions of the silencer. This error increases the weight of the silencer and greatly increase the cost of building and utilizing the silencer. Also, producing silencer design map is a time-consuming and exhausting task. In addition, due to the need for many calculations, other errors in calculations are inevitable. In this regard, a software was developed in C# environment in order to design a silencer with minimum weight in a short time by receiving the input steam information and producing the output standard documents and its design maps automatically and as quick as possible. In order to find silencers with the smallest possible dimensions, the beam search method, which is one of the well-known algorithms in artificial intelligence, was utilized. Results confirm effectiveness and accuracy of this application.
