A new method of feature extraction of colonoscopy images

The gastrointestinal tract is responsible for the entire digestive process.Several diseases, including colorectal cancer, can affect this pathway.Among the deadliest cancers, colorectal cancer is the second mostcommon. It arises from benign tumors in the colon, rectum, and anus.These benign tumors, known as colorectal polyps, can be diagnosed andremoved during colonoscopy Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a leading causeof cancer. The incidence and mortality rates of CRC are expected tosteadily increase in the future. Colonoscopy is the most popular and effectmethod for curing and screening CRC. However, ۲۵% polyps werereported to be missed during colonoscopy examinations. In this study, weproposed a method to classify polyps from background based on bag-of-Feature (BoF) from colonoscopy images.
