چکیده مقاله:

Sulfur-containing compounds in middle distillate fuels are known to have negative impactson the environment because of SOx emission from their combustion exhaust products [۱]. In orderto control and monitoring sulfur compounds a variety of removal techniques are available that welldocumented in the literature [۲]. Among different desulfurization methods, ADS selective processis mainly considered as an appropriate approach for desulfurization, mainly due to its low energyconsumption and cost and high efficiency [۳]. In recent years, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs)and Zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (ZIFs) have shown better chemical and thermal stabilitycompared with other adsorbent [۴]. In the present work, the adsorbent ZIF-۸ is used to reduceDBT in a model and real gas oil fuel synthesized in a mild condition. To evaluate the efficiencyand removal capacity of ZIF-۸ adsorbent, various factors such as the amount of adsorbent, timeand temperature have been investigated. Structural characterization was performed by XRD, FTIR,and BET. Studies were performed and complete desulfurization of model fuel was found after۴ h using ۰.۸ g of adsorbent at ۵۰ ◦C, instead of the ۱۰۵ mgS/g adsorption capacity ofdesulfurization obtained with the fresh ZIF-۸ in the model fuel solution of DBT at ۱۲۰ ppm.Moreover, the good selectivity of ZIF-۸ indicated the absorption on non-saturation centers aroundZn metal. The ZIF-۸ reacted well to its excellent recycling capability to remove DBT under mildconditions until ۴ times
