Background and Objectives: Individuals do a healthy behavior if they feel performing healthy behavior has a lot of benefits for them and they remove the barriers to healthy behavior. This study was aimed to investigate the perceived benefits and barriers of nulliparous pregnant women regarding the Method of delivery in Minoodasht city. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional one conducted on ۱۵۳ nulliparous pregnant women referring to health centers in Minoodasht city who were selected through convenience sampling method in ۲۰۱۳-۲۰۱۴. The data were collected using a researcher-made questionnaire with ۴ sections. Data were analyzed by SPSS software ۱۹, descriptive and analytical statistics, indices of persion, and Spearman and ANOVA tests(p <۰. ۰۵). The individuals' participation was also voluntary and with informed consent.Results: The mean age of pregnant women was ۲۲. ۲ ± ۴.۷۱ years. ۶۵.۵% intended to have vaginal delivery and ۲۸.۱% intended to have Cesarean delivery. There was a significant relationship between intention to choose the Method of delivery and the construct of perceived benefits (p <۰.۰۰۱) and perceived barriers (p <۰.۰۰۱). Also, there was a significant relationship between different social classes, the construct of perceived barriers (p <۰.۰۰۱) and behavioral intention (p <۰.۰۰۱.Conclusion: The mothers' intention can be influenced by increasing the perceived benefits and reducing the perceived barriers. Therefore, an appropriate educational program should be set and presented to women based on the findings of the study.
