Nowadays, the supply of fresh water is one of the problems in the world. Water crisis, which brings other problems, has covered many parts of the world. The investigation of the rainfall-runoff relationship indicates the amount of available produced-water in ecosystems, considering that the volume of produced-water has a direct relationship with the amount of runoff flowing in the basin. Knowing the relationship between precipitation and runoff, as well as the effects of climate change can be used as a guide for water resource planners. In this study we assessed the relationship between rainfall and runoff considering land use type in Haraz basin. Results showed there was harvesting of runoff due to the presence of agricultural lands, urban areas, and industrial areas in the upstream, which causes a decrease in the average annual runoff compared to the annual rainfall. The annual changes in runoff were in line with the annual changes in rainfall and were affected by the amount of annual rainfall.
