چکیده مقاله:

Hub stations are among the most sensitive and influential nodes in the transportation network. These stations, the center and the place of concentration of passengers are known as network users and are responsible for establishing communication lines and network systems, the possibility of passenger interchange and network connection. Identifying the performance level of the stations is the first step to distinguish the hub stations from other network stations, and the classification of the hub stations is the second step to deciding and planning the traffic flow and organizing the travel demand. Reviewing the experiences of railway stations in different cities of the world with urban structure, population, size, type of rail system and different coverage areas shows that decision-making regarding railway stations and planning the supply of transport services to travel demand without identification of Hub stations are not possible as the core of service provision and direction of traffic flow.
