Comprehensive study on solar radiation components and produced power of PV plants (Case study: Mashhad)

چکیده مقاله:
The lack of fossil fuels and increasing energy demands lead governments to increase the share of renewable energy sources, especially solar energy. Knowing about Solar radiation and its components is crucial for designers of solar energy systems. In this study, the primary weather data such as ambient temperature and solar radiation on the horizontal panels is compared with the measured data of a synoptic station in Mashhad. It is concluded that the ambient temperature has a maximum deviation of ۶۱% and the measured radiation is much more than the database of PV*SOL software. Furthermore, a model for predicting of solar components on horizontal and tilted surfaces is presented and verified by reported data of PV*SOL. The reported optimum surface inclination is ۳۰° for Mashhad which is ۸۰% of the latitude. Comparing solar radiation on the tilted module, and produced DC power with the PV*SOL model shows that the presented model matches well with the software results.
