چکیده مقاله:

One of the important factors in the proper establishment of the wheat in the field as well as the nutritional value of the wheat seed is related to the amount of antioxidant compounds, which is time-consuming and expensive to measure. By using simple methods and by examining the relationship between these traits, the antioxidant status of the seed can be found. This experiment was conducted on the physical characteristics and total oxidant content of whole seed and germinated seed of ۱۲ wheat genotypes. The results confirmed that there are versions amongst all the genotypes for all the traits which includes Geometric properties, Color Indices, Seed Mass, the Antioxidant Capacity of the Seeds, and the Antioxidant Capacity of Germinated Seeds. Hence, suggests a high range amongst genotypes for each of these traits. Lightness value (L*) was estimated (۶۴.۰۴), which it is indicating wheat coloration's increased tendency towards white. The a* and b* color indices were the degree of redness and yellowness degree of seed respectively. According to Color Indices, the genotypes are classed into four groups that consist of A is dark red, B is light red, C is light yellow and D is light yellow-grayish. In addition, the results demonstrated the seed is a lot bulkier, heavier, and lighter therefore, its antioxidant capacity of seed and germinated seed is less. Correlation between the antioxidant capacity of seed and the antioxidant ability of germinated seed was not observed. In accordance to the results, antioxidant capacity can be selected directly with high accuracy and decision via measuring the attributes such as seed weight, seed coloration, and geometric traits of seed in different wheat genotypes via the utilization of a minimal of resources.
