چکیده مقاله:
Botulinum toxin produced by Clostridium botulinum is one of the deadliest toxins known in the world, which can be fatal even in very low doses. The occurrence of botulism disease is transmitted mostlythrough the ingestion of toxins or sometimes spores and in some cases through wounds and injections. Asa result, the symptoms caused by Clostridium botulinum toxin depend on how the toxin, bacteria, orspores enter the body. Researchers believe that early diagnosis of poisoning with this toxin and startingsupportive treatment using relevant antitoxins can be very important. Due to its high potential, botulinumtoxin will be a suitable option for use by bioterrorists, especially if its nature is changed by geneticmanipulations and the existing antitoxins are neutralized. Therefore, knowing the characteristics of thisbacterium and developing the ability to make antitoxin and new treatment methods can be very importantand effective in case of deliberate epidemics by bioterrorists. Therefore, the purpose of this review is tosearch and comprehensively review recent books and articles in the field of bioterrorism and the use ofbotulinum toxin through the search formula on reputable sites such as PubMed and Science Direct((biological attack) OR (bioterrorism)) AND ("۲۰۲۰"[Date - MeSH]: "۲۰۲۲,۱۰,۱۵"[Date - MeSH])) andalso on the Civilica website.
