CBC was normal, PT=۱۴, PTT=۳۳, Na=۱۳۵, K=۶, BUN=۷, Cr=۰.۸ and ECG was normal. Xylocaine ointment was prescribed for pain at the bite site. Due to the abnormality of the tests, as well as frequent seizures, the patient was monitored for up to ۲۴ hours, and Na K, PT and PTT tests were requested for the patient every ۶ hours. Finally, after ۴۸ hours, the patient was discharged with normal test results and full consciousness.Discussion and conclusion:It should always be kept in mind that the initial symptoms following a bite can be misleading and sometimes the victim, while not having significant initial symptoms, suddenly goes into shock and breathing problems. In cases of cobra bites, due to spasms and convulsions, in addition to antivenom, administration of calcium gluconate should be considered.
