In this work, to investigate the effect of the weight percentage of silica nanoparticles on mortar strength, silica nanoparticles were added to the mortar with weight percentages of ۰.۵, ۰.۷۵, ۱, and ۱.۲۵ of the weight of cement, and the bending and compressive strengths of ۷ days and ۲۸ days were obtained. It was compared with the results of the control sample without nanoparticles. The results showed that the addition of silica nanoparticles with the mentioned percentages increases the bending and compressive strengths of mortar. Also, the results showed that there is an optimal amount that adding that amount to mortar maximizes the strength of cement and adding more than this optimal amount causes a relative decrease in strength.
