Modeling refers to a process in which the behavior of a person or group is used as a stimulus for the thoughts, attitudes or behaviors of another person or persons. "Practicing and modeling" is the most important and practical type of knowledge and learning in all periods of life. Accordingly, one of the methods of education is education by example, which can be called "model method". This method is used throughout life and its various dimensions, and since it presents the content of education objectively and practically, it is very effective in conveying concepts and teaching educational programs. Perhaps this is the reason why in Islamic sources, it is emphasized on using the model and following good practices. In drawing up the daily schedule of Muslims, Islam has continuously mentioned the method of "modelling", and calls them to be present continuously and on time in the place of God's worthy role models and warns against unworthy role models. Human's influence from the environment and his tendency to imitate can be mentioned as the basis of the effectiveness of this method. This article explains the role of role models in religious education based on the instructions of the Qur'an and the views of Imam Ali (a.s.) in Nahj al-Balagha. At first, the concept of education, religious education and educational model are briefly introduced, and then the method of modeling the Holy Qur'an and Nahj al-Balagha is examined and analyzed. And in the following, he explained the scientific and practical methods and solutions of education based on the views of Imam Ali (a.s.) in Nahj al-Balagheh, and in presenting the solutions and methods, a lot of attention was paid to the emotional and inner dimensions of humans.
