Abnormal architectural activities, construction methods and lifestyles in common buildings have played a major role in causing crises. Therefore, in the late twentieth century, the word sustainable entered the consciousness of architects and became a major concern in the discourse of architecture and urban planning. Sustainable development is the development that meets the needs of the current generations of the world, without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs, and this sustainable development is the relationship between man and nature around the world. Sustainability requires at least a fixed asset of natural capital, the word environmental assets. Sustainability requires at least a fixed asset of natural capital, the word environmental assets. Sustainable development is development that improves health and ecological systems over time. In the present study, South Korea has been considered as one of the developed countries in Asia, in order to provide an architectural space with comfort and well-being appropriate to culture by providing sustainable architectural design solutions and get acquainted with some examples of sustainable buildings in South Korea. In this article, the research is descriptive-analytical and considering that in different parts of the author's translation, authoritative English, Korean and Persian books and articles have been used and remarkable articles of related journals have been used. The concept of sustainable development is an important change in understanding the relationship between man and nature and humans. South Korea was one of the first nations to realize the importance of eco-friendly buildings. Sustainability in South Korea has been growing as a major concern in the construction industry over the past few decades. At present, Korea attaches great importance to sustainable development and designs buildings based on sustainability, and by recreating the principles of sustainability used in traditional Korean architecture in line with contemporary architecture, a new approach will be created in contemporary South Korean architecture.
