Evaluation of well stimulation methods in oil reservoirs

To increase the permeability and porosity of the reservoir rock near the production well, well stimulation operations are used. It is necessary to stimulate oil wells in order to increase production. There are many different ways to stimulate a well. Including acidizing, hydraulic fracturing in the reservoir rock, and irradiation of ultrasonic waves. According to researches and experiments, these methods have advantages and disadvantages, and each is used in specific situations; which has been studied and expressed in detail in this research. The purpose of this study is to carefully review and evaluate the usual methods of well stimulation and how to select the appropriate method in different conditions of the reservoir and it will help for better use of well stimulation methods in oil reservoirs
