چکیده مقاله:

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic disease of central nervous system with destroying the myelin sheath and accompanied by disorder in nervous conduction and appears with many clinical symptoms. With regarded to heavy financial expenses , side effect symptoms and not responding fully to medicinetraphy ,in order to control symptoms of MS , non medicin treatment is suggested.The purpse of this research was to study the effect of ۸ weeks aquatic aerobic training on balance and severity of fatigue in patients with multiple sclerosisthis study was a semi-exprimental and applied research.۳۰ patients with MS with Expanded Disability Statues Scale (EDSS)۲ to ۵.۵ and R-R (Relapsing-Remitting) form of disease and age ۲۰ to ۴۰ years participated in this study and were randomly matched in to two groups: exprimental group (N=۱۵) and control group (N=۱۵).Training protocol lasted ۸ weeks, three sessions per week (۲۴ session ),۴۰-۶۰ minutes, with the maximum hurt rate. Each session consisted of three stages : stretching and flexibility activities done outside of water , dynamic activities inside water, play and amusment inside water . Balance and severity of fatigue was measured before and after the protocol by Berg Balance Test (BBT) and fatigue severity scale (FSS) questionnaire. for data analysis, dependent and independen t test were used.The result of this study indicated that there were , significant differences between Balance and severity of fatigue exprimental and control groups (p<۰/۰۵)it would be suggested that aquatic aerobic training can improve Balance and severity of fatigue patients with Multiple Sclerosis. Therefore, it is suggested that affiliated institutions and families direct these patients to exercise and preferably selected aerobic exercises in water, observing the principle of overload and doing them in groups. There is no doubt that according to the results of this study, such exercises can both increase Balance And reduce Severity Of Fatiguethe severity of the disease, and can improve the psychological aspects of the disease, including reducing depression and increasing self-confidence. In general, doing such exercises may reduce patients dependence on medication and may reduce their drug doses.
