Presenting a model of strategies for implementing economic democracy in sports in Iran

The purpose of this study was to present a model of strategies for implementing economic democracy in the country in the sport of Iran. The research method is a qualitative case study and the participants are the sports directors of the country. Using purposive sampling method and theoretical saturation technique, key informants (including ۱۶ people) have been selected to identify the framework of the economic democracy model in sports in Iran and have been interviewed. The tools used to identify the factors of the economic democracy model were semi-structured interviews with focus groups (and study of documents). To ensure the validity and reliability of the study, the Lincoln and Guba evaluation methods were used. Strauss & Corbyn designed four categories: building democratic relations, citizenship rights in sports institutions, and social rights in sports institutions that can affect economic democracy, as categories related to causal conditions. Clearly, the development of the accountability system of sports federations and international law are the main underlying factors, and the two categories of macro and micro factors are considered as intervening categories, so attention to the context for the implementation of social capital is considered. , Development of active media in sports, democratization, development of human resources, national intelligence can provide conditions for the implementation of economic democracy in sports. Therefore, the present study tries to create a qualitative model from a new angle in the country s sports by using the data analysis method of the foundation for the development of economic democracy. It is hoped that the results of the research will be considered by politicians and sports managers.
