چکیده مقاله:
The aim of the present study was to determine the Acute and chronic response of appetite indices, calorie intake and energy expenditure and body composition to High intensity interval training with green tea supplementation in overweight girls. In this quasi-experimental study ۴۸ overweight women were purposefully and randomly chosen and divided into ۴ groups includes control, HIIT, supplement and combination of HIIT and supplement groups. Training group performed training programs at maximum intensity of ۷۵-۹۰% heart rate and the supplement group consumed ۲ tablets of green tea (۵۰۰ mg) daily for ۸ weeks. Combined group both underwent intervention. The amount of appetite (VAS), calorie intake and consumption were recorded through a questionnaire by the subjects. Correlated t-test, analysis of variance with repeated measures and Tukey s post hoc test at the significant level of p <۰.۰۵ were used to analyze the data. After ۸ weeks of training and consumption of green tea, hunger (P = ۰.۰۰۱), weight (P = ۰.۰۰۱), body mass index (P = ۰.۰۰۱), fat percentage (P = ۰.۰۲) and WHR (P = ۰.۰۲) decreased and satiety (P = ۰.۰۰۱) showed a significant increase; these differences in the HIIT and supplement group are significantly more pronounced than the other three groups (P = ۰.۰۰۱). Also, energy consumption (P = ۰.۰۴) increased significantly only in training groups. High intensity interval training with green tea can possibly create a negative energy balance by regulating appetite and increasing energy expenditure, and consequently improve body composition in overweight women.
