Investigating barriers to tourism development in villages in the central part of Rasht City

The purpose of this study is to investigate the barriers to tourism development in the villages of the central part of Rasht. In this research, information has been collected byfield method. The statistical population of this study is the officials and informants of the villages in the central part of Rasht (Iran). In order to analyze the research data,descriptive and inferential statistics and GIS, SPSS and Excel software have been used. The results show that barriers to tourism development in the villages of the central partof Rasht have had different rankings; Therefore, the barriers were ranked using Friedman test. In this general ranking, barriers to tourism development in the villages of the central part of Rasht were identified and introduced, respectively: economic barriers, structural barriers, social barriers, and cultural barriers.
