Capability of Muntz-Galerkin method for solving the generalized Abel-integral equation of the first kind

In this article, we study a class of the generalized Abel integral equations of the first kind numerically. The applied method is Muntz-Galerkin which uses Muntz- Legendre basis polynomials. Also, existence and uniqueness of solution for this problem are shown. To show the capability and efficiency of this scheme an example is presented.
