In this study, pure ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) and ZnO doped with Cu and Ag were prepared using a precipitation method to investigate the effect of doping on their antibacterial properties. After synthesis, various characterizations such as FE-SEM, EDX, XRD, UV-Vis, and TEM were performed. The results confirmed that both pure and doped ZnO NPs were successfully synthesized with good uniformity. Moreover, the incorporation of Cu and Ag dopant ions improved the structure of the ZnO NPs. Finally, antibacterial tests were conducted on the synthesized nanoparticles against two bacteria, E. coli and S. aureus. The findings demonstrated that doping ZnO NPs with Cu and Ag enhanced their performance in eliminating these two bacteria.
