چکیده مقاله:

A continuum-based model is presented to study the oscillatory motion of chloride ion inside carbon nanotubes decorated by functional groups at two ends. The ۶-۱۲ Lennard-Jones potential function is used to model the van der Waals interactions, while the Coulomb potential function is used to model the electrostatic interactions. The oscillation frequency is obtained by solving the equation of motion numerically. Numerical results demonstrate that the presence of functional groups leads to enhancing the operating frequency of such oscillatory systems especially when the electric charges of ion and functional groups have different signs.
