چکیده مقاله:

Occupational stress is a serious issue for workers and employers alike, as they seek efficient methods to reduce employee stress levels. This is a comparative study of the effects of stress inoculation training (SIT) in personality types A and B. The study population consists of Almahdi Aluminum Co. workers in Iran. The analysis method was experimental, with a two-month follow-up. The results were analyzed using variance analysis method and repeated group measurements (complex analysis of variance). HSE professional questionnaire was distributed among ۳۰۰ personnel. After using occupational stress scales, individuals with stress levels higher than mean were separated, which included ۱۳۷ subjects. Friedman & Rozenman’s professional questionnaire was distributed among them to determine their personality type. Then, ۳۰ subjects with personality types A and B were randomly selected and divided into four groups: two experimental groups (Type A Group and Type B Group) and two control groups (Type A Group and Type B Group). After administering stress inoculation training for experimental groups, occupational stress questionnaire was redistributed among ۶۰ subjects to determine the effect of training. Finally, two months later, this questionnaire was redistributed among them to determine the effects through a follow-up. Results showed that stress inoculation training decreased occupational stress in type A (F=۵۴.۸۳, p<۰.۰۵, n=۰.۷۰) and type B (F=۳۱.۴۲, p<۰.۰۵, n=۰.۵۷) in compassion to the control groups. The results also showed that SIT in type A personality decreased occupational stress more than type B group (F=۱۲.۷۲, p<۰.۰۵, n=۰.۳۵). Therefore, reducing occupational stress in both personality types was significant but it was more effective for type A.
