چکیده مقاله:

One of the essential things in managing rail construction projects is project time management. Today, comprehensive and accurate project time management, including resource planning, scheduling, and time control, has become not only one of the strategic issues in projects but also the main concerns of stakeholders. Reduction in projectexecution time is one of the most critical challenges of construction management. In our country, the problem that affects most of the railway construction projects is not starting, implementing, and exploiting them on time and according to the scheduling. In this paper, first, the causes of delays in railway construction projects and their prioritization will be identified and then with a case study of two railway projects, "Completion of the infrastructure of section ۸b and ۹ of the middle railway - Bostanabad-Tabriz" and "Design Shiraz city train stations " the causes of delays in them, including the type of contract system, price increase due to inflation, lack of proper buoyancy time, etc., will be reviewed and predicted throughout the project. In the end, solutions such as: concluding foreign exchange contracts, implementing projects after attracting the approved budget, considering late penalties, etc., to prevent such problems will be offered.
