چکیده مقاله:
One of the essential features of natural ecosystems is land use Proper awareness of it and how it changes overtime has been one of the vital prerequisites in environmental planning. It is possible to act towards themanagement and planning for sustainable development by anticipating land-use/land cover changes. One ofthe sources of information and software used in monitoring land-use/land cover changes is a specialized webbasedremote sensing system such as the Google Earth Engine system. In this study, the land-use/land covermap of Kurdistan province for ۲۰۰۳, ۲۰۰۹, ۲۰۱۵, and ۲۰۲۰ was used through the Google Earth Engin system, and MODIS surveyed land use products, which are prepared and offered annually. The results of the mapsindicate user changes during the study period. In this way, the barren lands in ۲۰۲۰ have reached the highestamount compared to previous periods. Water bodies have declined from ۲۰۰۳ to ۲۰۱۵ and increased in ۲۰۲۰due to heavy rainfall. Urban areas increased during the period. The amount of open forests and meadows hasincreased, and the amount of dense forests has decreased. Herbaceous Croplands lands have increased from۳۹۹۴۵۷ to ۷۵۲۸۲۴ hectares in ۲۰۲۰. Shrublands peaked in ۲۰۲۰. The results showed that due to populationgrowth and urbanization, there had been changes in various uses, and dense forest has decreased. It has beenturned into agricultural land and open forests. If this trend continues, we will face natural hazards such asfloods in the future.
