چکیده مقاله:

Traditional metho ds for healing or repairing advanced compos ites needed recognitio n and manua l interventio n and were not suitable for healing invisible microcracks within the str ucture during its service life [۱]. These cracks expose sub strate to co rrosive agents that result in accelerated disbon ding of the polymer and flake form ation from t he metal coating interfac e [۲]. In the ۱۹۸۰s, inspired by living systems, self-healing polymers w ere designed to autonomically repair invisible microcracks. The catalyst presence in the m ost self-healing syste ms to accelerate the polymerizatio n process, as a second separated phase can lead to a major discon tinuity in coating matrix. In this study, the encapsulation process of linseed oil, as an oxidative healing agent, in poly-urea formaldehydewas presented.Such coatings typically incorporate micro /nanocapsul es that contain film-form ers; which polymerize in the prese nce of air and heal the crack.Efficacy of these micro/nanocapsules in healing of cracks in an epoxy coating [۳], corrosion protecti on and mechanical prope rties has been demonstrated.
